The temperate climate in a country like Greece favors the development of a wide variety of fruit trees. Each season offers its own unique flavor, and our company, based in Greece, has the privilege of using various high-quality fruits to produce our jams.
The jams are an integral part of our cultural heritage and the company has taken the initiative to become an intermediary to introduce people outside of Greece to these special flavors.
To win over the consumer, a jam must meet certain conditions :
1. The fruits are selected with particular care at the right moment of ripeness. They are sorted one after the other and, after being properly cleaned, are prepared for cooking and then ground.
2. The lack of preservatives contributes to the production of high-quality products with high nutritional value. The company's strategy is to preserve only natural ingredients such as lemon and sugar. Fruits do not have the same pectin content. The highest are citrus fruits, apples, and quince. As the fruit simmers, the natural pectin combines with its sugars and any added sugar. In this way, the mixture binds and binds all the ingredients evenly. However, for pectin to work, the environment must be acidic. The result is, of course, a little natural lemon juice. For jams made from fruits with a low pectin content, the company policy is to add apple pectin rather than artificial pectin.
3. Jams are always produced according to specifications for proper sterilization, so that the final product reaches an excellent condition in the hands of the consumer.
The process requires detailed attention and careful steps in all production phases. Everything is done with Meraki to ensure a consistent result.
