Ingredients
450g Greek feta cheese
2 medium-sized eggs
3 tablespoons wheat flour
1 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup black sesame seeds
MERAKI extra virgin olive oil
MERAKI Thyme honey for serving
Instructions
Mix the sesame seeds and black sesame seeds in a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs and add a few drops of water.
Cut the feta into slices about 1.5 cm thick.
Roll each disc in flour so that it is covered on all sides.
Dip the floured slices into the beaten eggs and let the excess egg drain off.
Repeat this with the remaining feta slices. Once all are breaded, place them in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Heat enough olive oil in a pan to cover the bottom. Heat it over medium-high heat.
When the oil is hot, reduce the heat to medium and fry the feta slices for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
